This morning I had the pre-op testing. Basically the have you fill out paper work, Yes I know surgery is dangerous, I might die or be worse off, I'm not taking drugs, etc. Then there are height and weight measurements, blood tests and more paperwork.
The whole time they keep saying, this is for a Friday surgery and I kept telling them, my surgery is scheduled for Monday, I think I know when I'm going in. After pre-op testing I went back to Dr. Mackinnon's office where I found out that they want to have have me go in for surgery twice.
Here is the new plan:
Friday they will put me face down and do a scapular release surgery and possibly a spinal accessory to super-scapular nerve transfer if the nerves look viable.
Monday is the big one: Face up, medial and ulnar to Bicep and brachailas muscles respectively. Medial pectoral to axillary nerve transfer and intercoastal 5 and 6 (rib nerves) to long tharasic nerve.
Wow I have a lot to finish up before Friday morning. Hopefully I can get it all done. Back to work for Joel.
