Back on my Bike!!

I'm finally back on my bike! After finishing the marathon my next goal was to get on my bike. Three weeks before my accident I bought a Kuota K-Factor. I road it twice before I ran into that stupid tree. So my lovely super fast awesome racing machine sat idle. It moved with my to the new place last year. All my other bike stuff went into my parent's basement but I couldn't bring myself to let it go. So all last winter and all summer long it sat in my room bagging me to take it out for a spin. I tried once in March but scarred myself badly with my lack of control.

I invested in a set of road bars and STI style shifters to replace the areo bars that the bike came with. I don't have enough shoulder and wrist control and strength to get in and out of areo position and shift a bar end shifter with my right hand.

My good buddy Drew helped me switch the handle bars, breaks and shifters out so my tri bike now looks like a road bike. I wish that I had opted for red tap. That would have been cool. I also replaced my tri saddle with a road one.

So far I have put 420 miles on my bike since mid October and I feel great!
