Best SQL Statements Ever or Joel is no Longer On-Call

Thanks to new Job I am no longer on call. For those of you techies who read my blog the sql statements below removed me from the on-call system!!

Bowling, 43, 87,105,97

Last week I went bowling with Sarah at the newly remodeled and just opened Grand Central Bowl on 8th and Morrison. I have to say I have never been to a "bowling ally", if you can even call it that, which was as nice. The place is more of an upscale sports bar/restaurant with 12 lanes just thrown in than a bowling ally.

When you walk in there is a hostess ready to seat you or direct you where to go. The main bar is in the middle of the room and is huge with 8 or more big 45+ inch flat screens and could easily have 7 bartenders working behind it. On the outside walls there are comfortable booths and there is plenty of seating at the bar. A fairly typical sports bar setup.

Here is where it gets cool, there is bowling. All the rental shoes are brand new and clean! Whatever games are on in the bar are projected on to the wall where the bowling pins are, every 2 lanes makes 1 massive screen. Its almost has a good Vegas sports book feel. Each bowling "station" has a nice couch and table. Its great to hang out take your time bowling and relax. The waitress cam by a bunch of time to get us drinks or food.

After the first horribly bad game, and half way through the second one I figured out the whole bowling left handed thing. The key is to step with the correct foot. After that things got a lot better. I'm still not a super bowler but I'm getting there. The last two games 105 and 97 went really well. I'll be back there soon and work some more on my game.
